Goverment Influences
In the US more than 1.2 million students dropout of school annually. To solve the dropout epidemic, many schools issued iPads to students, enticing them to graduate. An estimated 1.5 million educational institutions are also utilizing the iPad. Apple also tried to reinvent the text book by releasing the iBook 2, which allows a student to interact with the text book by making electronic note cards, highlighting text, and taking quizzes. Apple products are also used by the military in a variety of ways. The iPod touch is popular with the military, as it is light-weight, versatile, and durable enough to withstand trauma in the field; it is used to translate Arabic, annotate maps, and control aerial drones remotely.
